I was born in Phayao, Thailand, and moved to Vancouver when I was only 3 years old. I would occasionally travel back to the village in Thailand, or go on short camping trips in the summer with my family. All that stopped when I started high school and travel stopped crossing my mind.
I went back to Thailand with my mother in 2011, the first time in over 10 years, and I saw places in my country I never had the chance to see before. Determined to see more places without the watchful eye of a parent, I planned a trip to Thailand and South Korea in 2014. I fell in love with Korea and decided to live there for 6 months.
I learned so much during my time there, and I discovered just how much I love to travel and learn about new cultures. My life hasn’t been the same since everything I’ve been through, and I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with being stuck in one place for too long!
After returning to Vancouver mid-2015, I made a promise to myself to never stop having adventures or trying new things. I’ve traveled overseas solo, hiked and camped in back-country, and scuba dived. I even found myself the perfect travel partner that is just as passionate about adventuring as I am!
My hope for Live Jennormously is to be able to relive my experiences and share it with other adventurers. I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to so many places since 2014, and I can’t wait to see where my feet and my blog take me next.
